A Channel is a collection of Net-Top-Boxes (NTB) that all show the same presentation on their display devices.
Local customisation is, however, possible. This means that two NTBs can be in the same Channel but show slightly different content welcoming different visitors to two different departments, for example.
One of the NTBs will Publish the Channel and all the others will Subscribe to it.

A Channel is also the schedule that will show on the NTB.
A Schedule has one or more screen Layouts that are programmed to appear at different times of the day or days of the week.
A Layout has one or more Zones which are rectangular areas on the screen.
Every Zone has a Playlist
A Playlist has Content - one or more files on the NTB or references to content located elsewhere.
