Warning I have not read the User Guide yet.

Checklist

Check

Text appeared correctly.

Check that the source for the text is not blank.Check that the fore and background colours are not the same.

Check

The text is jerking / juddering accross the Display Screen.

Attach an ordinary computer monitor to the NTB. If the text is scrolling smoothly then the problem lies with the Display Device.

Check

The scroll zone became completely black.

There is another zone obscuring the point at which the text enters the zone.Reposition the upper zone or position the scroll zone above it.

Check

Background was black but should be transparent.

If text is moving and the background is transparent then the background will appear black over anything other than a video.

Check

Some non-English characters appear incorrectly

Check that the character set in the "Edit" page matches that of the text.The font that you are using may not have the correct glyph for the character.See the "scroller.log" file under "Settings | Support | NTB Log Viewer" for more information,

Resolution

OK Problem Solved.

Error Problem not solved.

Send a Support Snapshot

  1. Optional: Preview an Image on the screen to reduce the load on the processor.
  2. Browse to the "Settings | Support" page on the NTB and click "Run" for "Create Support Snapshot".
  3. The NTB will create a file and prompt you to download it.("Server Error" message? Try again, don't leave out step 1.)
  4. Click the link below to start a new e-mail message.
  5. Attatch the downloaded file to the e-mail.
  6. Give a description of the problem and send the e-mail.
  7. Technical Support will reply with further instructions.
