Troubleshooter



Warning I have not read the User Guide yet.

Instructions

  1. Plug the S-Video or Composite video cable from the camera / DVD player / decoder into a TV.
  2. Confirm that the TV can show the signal - you may have to select an "AV" option.
  3. Plug the S-Video / Composite cable into the "S-Video In" or "Composite In" socket on the multi-plug adapter and plug the adapter into the TV tuner card.
  4. If the NTB does not have such an adapter then plug the cable directly into the tuner card.
  5. Connect the short jumper cable from the Audio-out socket on the adapter to the blue "Line In" socket on the NTB.
  6. Browse to the Home page on the NTB.
  7. Check the NTB model in the top right-hand corner. It is the digits immediately after the letters "NTB".If the number ends in a zero then there is no TV tuner card in the NTB or it has come loose.
  8. If the tuner card has come loose then have someone with reasonable technical skill open the NTB and re-seat the tuner card and its riser card..
  9. Browse to your playlist and confirm that either "S-Video" or "Composite" (as applicable) has been added to the playlist.
  10. Confirm that the playlist is in the layout that will be shown on the Display Device at this point in time.
  11. Click the "Activate" button to make the layout appear on the Display Device.
  12. The Video image should appear.

Send a Support Snapshot

  1. Optional: Preview an Image on the screen to reduce the load on the processor.
  2. Browse to the "Settings | Support" page on the NTB and click "Run" for "Create Support Snapshot".
  3. The NTB will create a file and prompt you to download it.("Server Error" message? Try again, don't leave out step 1.)
  4. Click the link below to start a new e-mail message.
  5. Attatch the downloaded file to the e-mail.
  6. Give a description of the problem and send the e-mail.
  7. Technical Support will reply with further instructions.
