Troubleshooter > A/V > Black Display > VGA



Instructions

  1. Reboot the NTB.
  2. If, during the reboot, you do not see anything happen on the Dislay Device then follow this link.
  3. Browse to the NTB Home page.
  4. If the words "Screen is Off" appear to the right of the graphic of the layout then this would explain the problem.
  5. Go to the "Schedule" page and click "Activate Schedule and Layouts".
  6. Click the "Edit" button for each item in the Schedule in turn and for "Actions", make sure that the "Screen" box is ticked and that "On" is selected if the screen is supposed to be on at that time.
  7. Browse to the "Screen Background" page.
  8. If the background colour is set to colour black or a black image then the problem may be that the layout has empty playlists.
  9. Browse to "Player Staus | Screen Snap Shot".
  10. If the screen snapshot is black then the current layout maybe showing something black.
  11. Click on each zone in the Layout graphic on the Home page to inspect the playlists for items that may be all black.

Resolution

OK Problem Solved.

Error Screen is still black.

  1. Create a Layout Package of the current layout.
    (Show me how in a separate window)
  2. If the Layout Package is less then 1MB in size then click the link below to start a new e-mail message to Support.
  3. Attach the Layout Package, enter a brief description of the problem and send the e-mail.
