Checklist

Check

There must be network cables connecting the NTB to your PC.

A network cable (not a crossover cable) should connect your PC to your LAN and another should connect the NTB to the LAN. If there is just a single cable connecting the PC directly to the NTB then go back one page and select the "crossover" option.

Check

Make sure that the computer will not try to access the NTB via a proxy.

In Internet Explorer, click on "Tools | Internet Options.. | Connections | LAN Settings" and make sure that there is no tick in the "Use a proxy server..." checkbox. In Firefox, click on "Tools | Options.. | Connection Settings.. " and make sure that "Direct connection to the Internet" is selected.

Check

Reboot the NTB.

Just pull the power cable out and put it back in again after 2 seconds.

Check

The IP address was NOT "No cable?"

"No cable?" means no cable!

OK All the above boxes could be ticked.

Error I could not tick all of the above boxes.
